As an innovative Housing Association that aims to provide good quality housing and services to its customers, Ekaya Housing Association is seeking to recruit to the following posts.
Responsible to the Property & Housing Services Manager for providing a high quality surveying service to Ekaya’s maintenance department, in accordance with the organisation's policies and procedures and contributing to the overall successful performance of the Maintenance Team.
You will generally be responsible for:
- Pre and post inspections
- Managing day to day contractor performance, particularly invoicing using SOR 5.1
- Systems for reporting repairs
- Providing technical support to the Customer Services Officer – Maintenance / Technical and Handyperson.
- Monitoring customer satisfaction.
You will lead the team to provide an excellent service to our customers, ensuring that all repair issues are dealt with efficiently and effectively.
To secure this role you should be an experienced maintenance surveyor with very good diagnostic and people skills. You will have the ability to identify complex building defects and specify solutions whilst being able to demonstrate a friendly, customer-focused approach.
The successful candidate must have a current, valid driving licence and access to own vehicle for work duties.

This Support Officer role, based within our supported housing services for Teenage Parents, requires the successful candidate to work at the service which will include occasional evening working.
The role will consist of tasks in order to provide the level of support expected towards providing a highly reputable support service. This will include:
- Delivering tailored support in line with an agreed support plan e.g. parental support, maintaining live-in skills, assistance with cooking and shopping planning, paying bills, managing the home, tenancy issues, support with identifying positive daytime activities and childcare options in line with all agreed personal support plans
- Working in accordance with the organisation’s values, policies and procedures to meet the objectives and the requirements of the individual people being supported
- Contributing to support planning and review, ensuring service quality and performance are maintained and enhanced
- Ensuring proper records are maintained as required of all relevant activities
Required to successfully carry out this job are:
- Level 2 or above in Health/Social Care or equivalent
- Flexible availability
- Good communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to maintain high standards of support provision
Ekaya is looking for an experienced Floating Support Officer with excellent communication skills who is able to deliver person centered housing related support to vulnerable residents. As a Floating Support Officer you will be responsible for supported housing within the London Borough of Wandsworth.
You will be responsible for planning your visits, you will help with support plans and encourage and support tenants in problem solving, domestic tasks and signposting tenants to the relevant support agencies.
Candidates need:
- Experience of keyworking a caseload of clients in the community
- Experience of working with and the ability to engage with Teenage Parents/Couples.
- Experience of offering advice and guidance around benefits.
- Liaising with external statutory support agencies on the clients’ behalf and accompanying them to appointments.
Candidate duties include:
- Experience of working with and the ability to engage with Teenage Parents/Couples.

Occasional evening and night working, scheme based

Ekaya is seeking to develop a ‘bank’ of Locum Support Officers that we can call on to work for us. Opportunities exist to cover both day and night shifts.
Locum workers are recruited on a ‘zero hour’s contract’ and can be offered work across the course of a year. They are not expected to accept every request to work; however if no assignment is accepted within a 12 month period Ekaya will terminate the contract appropriately.
This Locum Support Officer role, based within our Supported Housing services for Teenage Parents/Couples, requires the successful Locum to work, as and when required, at the service which will include occasional evening work.
The role will consist of tasks to ensure a consistent, high level of support is provided to all customers. This will include:
- Delivering tailored support in line with supporting people and QAF standards, developing an agreed support plan with customers e.g. tenancy sustainment, return to education or training, and childcare
- Working in accordance with the organisation’s values, policies and procedures to meet the objectives and the support requirements.
- Contributing to support planning and reviews, ensuring service quality and performance are maintained and enhanced
- Ensuring proper records are maintained as required of all relevant activities
Required to successfully carry out this job are:
- Level 2 or above in Health/Social Care or equivalent
- Flexible availability
- Good communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to maintain high standards of support provision
- Knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality
The successful candidate will be a highly-motivated self-starter, prepared to work flexibly to fit in with the needs of our customers.
