Background

Foluke was appointed to the Ekaya Board as a Non-Executive Director in September 2024.   She has worked in the Social Housing sector for over 20 years and has extensive experience of dealing with specialist and complex housing management cases.

Foluke is currently the Head of Housing Management (London) and Support services at one of the UK’s largest Housing Associations Sovereign Network Group (SNG).  Her team is responsible for Housing & Estate management, Tenancy compliance issues, Welfare Benefits Advice and Mental Health Liaison which is responsible for supporting vulnerable residents to sustain their tenancies.

Foluke holds a Law degree, a postgraduate qualification in Law, a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), Postgraduate qualifications in Risk, Governance and Compliance and she is a qualified Company secretary. Through the G15 programme, she has also completed a CMI Level 7 in Strategic Leadership and Management.   She has led on ED & I projects, led change and worked on a number of Housing management service delivery projects and community safety projects.

She is passionate about how social housing can make a difference in peoples’ lives and brings her expertise to support Ekaya’s Governance and Corporate objectives.    She also advocates for having more professionals join and stay in the Housing industry and for that reason, she actively mentors other aspiring leaders.  

Foluke is also passionate about having more representation of women on Boards.  She is a member of the Governance, Ethics, Remuneration and Nominations (GERN) committee of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) and she also sits on the Board of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) as a Board Trustee.
